Ordering a Revolut Physical Card

Once you have added money, you can order a Revolut card directly through the Revolut app. Just go to the ‘Cards’ tab, choose ‘Physical’, and set one up. Please make sure your delivery address is correct and, if you’re living in an apartment complex, includes your apartment number. The Standard card delivery fee depends on the chosen delivery method and will be quoted at the time of ordering.

When will my card be delivered?

After you place the order, cards are normally dispatched the next working day. Delivery time is currently up to nine working days for Standard. Express delivery to Japan, UK, US or Canada will take three days, or four days for other countries. You can check the estimated time of your card arrival under the ‘Cards’ section of the app.

Please note, these are estimated delivery times, and we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.

Finding my card PIN

Once your card has been delivered, go to the ‘Cards’ section in the Revolut App and tap ‘Show my PIN’. Please note, your PIN is not your passcode.

How do I know if my card order has been placed successfully?

You can check if your card order has been placed successfully by heading to the ‘Cards’ section of the app. You should be able to see your physical card details and the estimated time of arrival. Otherwise, please order your card in the same section.

Please note that if you have obtained a virtual card, you may still need to get a physical card in order to make any in-store transaction or to withdraw cash.

Why do I need to activate my Revolut card?

This is an extra security measure we added in order to ensure that you received your card. You will not be able to make your first transaction until you activate your card!

How do I activate a card?

In order to activate your Revolut card, you need to verify your identity.

We’d ask you to submit a government-issued photo ID, a selfie, and sometimes a proof of your residency. The whole process normally takes less than 5 minutes.

After your identity is verified, if you’ve ordered a virtual card, it can be used right away for online transactions. If you’ve ordered a physical card, you can activate it as soon as it arrives through the mail by going to the ‘Cards’ section of the app.

Can I choose between Visa and Mastercard?

No, your card scheme will be assigned based on your location and cannot be selected.

Can I have multiple spare cards?

You can have up to 3 active physical cards and 5 active virtual cards linked to your Revolut account. A disposable virtual card doesn’t count towards your allowance no matter how many times you use them.

Any extra card costs a spare card fee of $5.00 (plus a shipping fee if applicable). Alternatively, you can upgrade to Revolut Premium or Revolut Metal and get up to 2 additional cards delivered express at no cost!

You can use cards in union, or freeze any extra cards in-app as you need. Just tap ‘unfreeze’ when you want to use it. You can also name spare cards in the app, so you can remember what each card is for, but this name won’t be printed on the physical card.

Please also note that the spare card should be used exclusively by the account holder. If you would like a card for someone else, they can simply create their own Revolut account if they are over 18 years old.
